New Site Soft Launch - Be Gentle
Tue, 04/28/2009 - 19:45 — Steel DolphinWell I have finally decided to launch the new site. It's still a ways away from being done, but for now I felt I needed to test it a bit and throw some visitors at it.
There are still a lot of styling issues to be resolved, so there will be changes and updates being made regularly through the next couple weeks.
10 Year Anniversary
Fri, 04/24/2009 - 19:42 — Steel DolphinIt has just occurred to me that Steel Dolphin Creative has been around for 10 years now. Wow. It's amazing how that just made me feel even older than I am.
Back in time
Let's have a look back shall we? The year is 1999, times are brighter, Y2k is imminent, and photography is actually still an art form, before every jack-ass and his sister have digital cameras and a flickr account.
Things that happened in 1999:
- Cher had the #1 hit of 1999 - Believe
Well Cher was never cool and probably never will be, but I thought it was interesting.
The Golden Ratio
Fri, 04/10/2009 - 18:53 — Steel DolphinThere are examples of the Golden Ratio all around us – both man made and natural. Some examples are the nautilus shell, pinecones, the Parthenon, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and even the Apple iPod MP3 Player. The Golden Ratio is a ratio of elements within a form such as height and width that approximate 0.618.

The Attractiveness Bias
Fri, 04/10/2009 - 12:05 — Steel DolphinWell it is not hard to believe that attractive people are received with greater enthusiasm or positivity than unattractive people.
Attractive people generally get more attention from members of the opposite sex, and even from their mothers. A good looking person is more likely to get hired for a position if all things are equal compared to an unattractive candidate. This may be hard to swallow but it is in fact a result of both biological and environmental factors.
